E-flite's Yak
54F 3D ARF Features a unique 3-dimensional A-frame foam
construction and flat-wing design, the Yak is an extreme
electric model capable of a broad assortment of thrilling
precision and 3D aerobatics. Key to its intricate
maneuverability is its lightweight A-frame fuselage, which
reduces flex to provide precise control. It's also stronger and
stiffer than typical profile planes, which allows for more
stable performance, even in windier conditions, so that a
seasoned pilot can still attain his aerobatic potential
outdoors. From high-speed rolls to super-slow harriers, the
Yak's smoothness and precision provides a wider range of
performance than any other foamy out there. A gearbox and prop
are included and for optimum performance, the Yak 54F should be
flown with an E-flite Park 370 brushless motor (EFLM1000),
20-amp ESC (EFLA311)
and 1320mAh 3-cell Li-Po battery pack (THP13203S).
For a direct-drive alternative, try the Park 400 Outrunner
series (EFLM1305).

Recommended Motor Setup Options for E-Flite Yak 54F
The first option
will be the High Power Motor Setup. We recommend using the included
6.6:1 gearbox and 10T pinion gear, along with the included 12 x 6
propeller. You just need to purchase the E-flite Park 370 Brushless
Motor, 4100 Kv (EFLM1000)
and the below 3-cell 1200 – 1320 mAh Li-Po battery and you will not
be disappointed. This is the most powerful setup option for the
Yak54F and will give you the most power between the three options.
The second option is the High Power
Outrunner (direct drive) Motor Setup. Purchase our E-flite
Park 400 Outrunner Brushless Motor, 920 Kv (EFLM1305),
a 10 x 4.7 or 11 x 4.7 propeller, and the below 3-cell 1200 – 1320
mAh Li-Po battery for a powerful direct drive and quiet
alternative.
If you are
looking for a lightweight or indoor setup, our third option is the
one for you. This is the Indoor/Lightweight Outrunner (direct
drive) Motor Setup. Purchase our smaller Park 370 Outrunner
Brushless Motor, 1080 Kv (EFLM1200),
a 10 x 4.7 propeller, and the below 3-cell 860 – 900 mAh Li-Po
battery for a lighter alternative.
